Letter from Shep & Ian Murray of vineyard vines®

In 1998 we started vineyard vines on Martha’s Vineyard and we’ve been having the time of our lives ever since. We’re brothers who decided to leave our corporate jobs in New York City to pursue the American Dream. With no money and little experience we set out to make ties that represent the finer things life has to offer. Today, thanks to folks like you, we’re pleased to have expanded beyond the shores of the Vineyard all the way to the banks of the Mississippi and beyond.

We’re also thrilled to offer you much more than ties! We’ve come a long way since then and are very excited to partner with the Levy’s of Oak Hall, a family who shares both our retail and entrepreneurial spirit, to open a store in the heart of Memphis showcasing our entire collection. We met these guys over five years ago when we had little more than the ties on our neck. After some persuading, we were able to convince them to take a chance on us and we have had a successful relationship and solid friendship ever since. We continue to share the same commitment to providing excellent customer service and the highest quality products, but we also both like to have fun and we know our customers do too.

We can’t wait to share the Good Life with each and every one of you! The people of Memphis have been incredibly good to us over the years showing us the true meaning of Southern hospitality again and again. As we’ve continued to grow, you’ve been there for us every step of the way and on the eve of this new venture we’re thrilled to have you along for the ride. We invite you to come visit our new store. We promise there will always be exciting things to see and new stories to share.
